Block printing is an ancient method of relief printing using carved wooden blocks to apply colour to fabric. Our natural, plant based dyes are sourced from the leaves, flower, fruits, seeds, bark and roots of colour yielding plants, foraged from the Indian landscape. Watch the video below to learn more about the process...

We have extracted colour from naturally occurring madder, iron, spices and indigo bushes to create a rich palette of earthy reds, black, ochre and royal blue.

These colours, combined with natural Indian cotton are the basis of our limited edition scarves and homeware.

Each hand crafted, block printed item is a unique, one of a kind art piece and testament to skills and ancient knowledge passed down through generations of the 'Chhipa' community.

Our fusion pieces are designed at our studio in London and printed in the village of Bagru, 32 km south -west of Jaipur in Rajasthan.
